4 Winter Cocktails to Sip by the Fire

Are you ready for the most wonderful time of the year? If you’re like us, you’re already hanging up your stockings and setting up the tree. While we love Christmas, nothing is more stressful than holiday planning because the pressure to have an amazing holiday season is ON–so stay boozy while you plan for this magical winter holiday to keep the stress at bay! We’ve got four yummy Winter cocktails for you to sip by the fire coming right up!

Cranberry Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is a classic when it comes to cocktails, but this jazzy holiday version will certainly knock your stockings off! 

Ingredients

  • Vodka (2 oz)
  • Lime Juice (1 tbsp)
  • Ginger Beer (2.5 oz)
  • 100% All Natural Cranberry Juice (2 oz)

Recipe:

Pour 2 oz of vodka, 2 oz of cranberry juice, and 1 tablespoon of lime juice into a serving glass of your choice–preferably one of our adorable holiday tumblers (coming November 15th)! Top it off with about 2.5 oz of ginger beer and garnish with lime and frozen cranberries.


Peppermint Martini

This creamy peppermint flavored vodka martini is perfect for a cozy Christmas movie marathon!

Ingredients:

  • 30 or 60 Proof Peppermint Schnapps (1 oz)
  • Vodka (0.5 oz)
  • Creme de Cacao (1.5 oz)
  • Heavy Cream (1.5 oz)
  • Peppermint Candy for the rim (optional) 

Recipe:

Prepare the rim by crushing up peppermint candies and placing them evenly on a plate. Wet the rim of your favorite martini glass and rotate the glass in the candy. Then pour your peppermint schnapps, vodka, creme de cacao, and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake until cold. Strain into your martini glass and you’ve got a creamy delicious peppermint martini!


IMPORTANT WARNING!!! Peppermint schnapps come in 30, 60, or 100 proof. If using 100 proof use 2 tablespoons rather than 1 ounce.


Apple Cider Margarita

This winter spin on a Margarita is perfect for all you apple cider-aholics!

Ingredients (enough for 1 pitcher)

  • Tequila
  • Lime Juice
  • Cointreau
  • Pasteurized Apple Cider 
  • Cinnamon Sugar, for the rim

Recipe

Mix up a plate of cinnamon sugar and run a lime around the edge of your glasses. Dip the rims in the cinnamon sugar to get a nice even coating. Now mix 1½  cups of tequila, 2 cups of apple cider, ¾ cup of Triple Sec, ¾ cup of lime juice, and 3 handfuls of ice in a pitcher. Poor into your prepared glasses and enjoy with friends!


Maple Old Fashioned

This maple old fashioned is perfect to curl up with next to the fire while spending some good ole quality holiday time with your lovely family!

Ingredients

  • Maple Syrup (1 teaspoon)
  • Angostura Bitters (4 dashes)
  • Bourbon Whiskey (2oz)  (or rye whiskey if you prefer)
  • Orange Peel

Recipe

In a rocks glass stir the bourbon, maple syrup, and bitters. Add a large ice cube, a sliver of orange peel and a cocktail cherry if you’re feeling festive. Give a good swirl and you’re all set!
